2012 Holiday Toy Drive and Company Dinner

This past Sunday in Minneapolis, the entire WebRanking crew and immediate family were fortunate to have the opportunity to all be together to celebrate the holidays and what was a very successful 2012 for the company.

With offices in both Portland and Minneapolis, it isn’t often we have the chance for everyone to get together as a company, but with WebRanking sponsoring the LinkedMinnesota Holiday Extravaganza the next day, it presented us with the perfect opportunity to do so.

To kick off the evening’s festivities, we met up at a local toy store where we all took part in selecting and purchasing toys to donate to the outstanding Toys for Tots Foundation. As Christmas and the holidays is truly about the kids, this was a tremendous opportunity for us to give back and help brighten the Christmas experience for some very deserving children.

Nobody took the selection of the toys lightly, as each toy and game were carefully selected based upon childhood memories, what some of our own kids like and the toys we felt were too cool to pass up.

The amazing staff at ABC Toy Zone was so thrilled with the fact that we were donating all of these toys to Toys for Tots that they offered us a 20% discount on our entire order…which meant we got to go back and pick out even more toys for the kids!

When all was said and done, we completely filled two baskets with toys and hopefully brought some holiday joy to some very worthy children.

After our toy buying extravaganza was completed, we headed over to the Redstone Grill for our company holiday dinner and celebration. Starting out with some amazing Buffalo Shrimp and other appetizers, we enjoyed a fantastic meal, drinks and most importantly each other’s company.

The evening also gave us the opportunity to better get to know Tyler, our newest team member, and as he began a serious discussion regarding the different aspects of the new Hobbit movie versus the book, James, Tony and I knew we picked the right geek for the job. He fits right in with the rest of us.

As the evening drew to a close, we posed for a few company photos before heading out into the cold December Minnesota night, still warm inside from the camaraderie, friendship and respect we have for each other as individuals and as a team. It’s this that has allowed us to continue to grow not just as a company, but also as individuals and digital marketers.
