This month we honor those that gave their last full measure in defense of their country. Memorial Day, celebrated this year on Monday, May 28th, was originally called Decoration Day and was born out of the Civil War and a desire to honor our dead. It was officially proclaimed on May 5th, 1868 by General John Logan.
